It seemed like just an ordinary walk through the mountain range for Michelle. The scenery was just so serene. No sudden noises were heard. Only the crunching of pebbles under her feet and the squaking of birds could be identified as noise- but it was natural.
Then she looked up at the mountains towering over her. She noticed little dragonlike creatures jumping off the side of the mountain. They obviously were trying to fly. "Those poor little guys..." sighed Michelle. "They are like, desperate to fly." She looked up again, but this time, at the sky. "I wish i can fly, too." Then, while she was looking up, she saw the most peculiar thing- the clouds started to form a swirling pattern in the sky, focusing around a point. It- it almost looked like an altar. "What the heck? It looks like the clouds are circling around me." Michelle wondered. A sudden crack startled Michelle, and she snapped back to reality. "That was kinda weird. Maybe I stepped on a twig." She stopped and looked at her feet. Nope. No twig. "Hmm. I thought I did." As Michelle walked on, she started feeling queasy, like she was gonna throw up. She wrapped her hands around her stomach when she noticed something. Her fingers dug into her sides like inhumane claws, and not human fingernails. She looked at her hands. "No." she said. "No, there is no way..." Her hands in fact, DID have claws, and she started to get a rashlike feeling from her hands. The rash turned a sea blue color, and hardened on her hand. They were reptilian scales. The scales crept up her wrist, and to her elbow at a rapid pace. At Michelle's elbow, red scales started to join the blue ones at the back of her arm. "Why is this ... what's going on?" she yelled. Her clothing started to burn away at a blue fire when the scales reached her shoulder. Muscles swelled up in her arms. Her shirt began to give way and tore open as two appendages sprouted from her shoulder blades. They were bright red in color. The new appendages happened to be wings, and as soon as they had no pressure between them and the shirt, they began to get bigger and bigger. They stopped when they had a wingspan of about eight feet. “No way! Now I really think I’m dreaming. I have WINGS! I can FLY! My wish to fly comes true!” Michelle burst out with happiness, and urged the changes to continue. This will seemed to make the changes happen faster. Suddenly, her black Nikes burst open, and showed that her feet were already changed into draconic claws, and looked just like her hands. The same pattern of scale growth happened to her legs, and sure enough, her pants began to burn too. Her legs got smaller, and she gave way, and fell to the ground on all fours. A scaly tail of a dragon snaked its way out of her pants. They ripped open in sudden time, and her pants burned completely. Thankfully, scales had already covered everything up to her hips. A light gray pattern grew up from her belly, and continued until she felt no more pressure between her and the shirt wore. The blue scales continued to race across her back, and finally, her shirt burned when it was done. She looked back at herself. “I still cant believe that I can fly… This is amazing.” Then her jawbone seemed to stretch out into three spikes on each side of her face. They became covered in blue scales as well. Her hair started to fall out of her scalp, leaving her bald. It soon was covered in blue scales. Her mouth stretched forward to become a dragon’s snout, and then two stripes of red scales ran down her face. Her eyes became a slit, and her iris turned a deep shade of red. Michelle realized that the changes were over. She flapped her wings two times afterward. “Time to see what I have been missing out on my entire life.” She took a running start, and then, she took off into the air, rapidly flapping her wings to stay airborne.
